Sprinter Roof Top AC Unit

Prompt:

• Use the design process and work with parts manufacturers to create a custom interior AC faceplate that is upgraded and "premium" compared to the OEM-supplied part.

Process:

• Take measurements and reverse engineer the existing faceplate, drafted concepts in AutoCAD, and modeled in Fusion 360.

• The faceplate design was based on existing tests and research to maximize air intake and output. Once the design was completed, I prototyped through a local manufacturer and confirmed tests and fitment. After approval, I coordinated with overseas suppliers to manufacture the faceplate.

Result:

• A distinctively different faceplate was created which optimized airflow and had a premium finish over the original, proving the value in the higher price point.

Prompt:

• Create various media and images for promotional / print media and customer-facing instructional and installation manuals.

Process:

• 3D model new or import existing CAD models into Blender 3D to create realistic textures, studio environments,  and high-quality renders that help illustrate a product and its purpose. 

• Work with fellow employees to break down the processes, through multiple tests and documentation through photos, notes, and manufacturer-supplied information. 

Result:

• Unique images that take advantage of color/texturing in a 3D program to convey easy-to-comprehend visuals paired with numerical order systems for an approachable guided process.
