Sonoran Rovers

Prompt:

• Create a total of 4 custom 3D models for a series of renders that showcase customer-specific custom-built trucks from Sonoran Rovers.

• Utilize the renders in a unique invoicing package, that allows the customer to see their proposed build along with an itemized invoice, similar to the buying experience on any major automotive website.

Process:

• Communicated extensively with Sonoran Rovers to gather reference images and information. Once collected, I began 3D modeling the truck and additional accessories that were unique to each build. 

• Once the first round of renders was approved, which showed the vehicle in a basic form, I moved on to texturing, applying materials, and modeling a custom studio environment for the cover page render. 

• Once all renders were completed, I packaged them together with the shops' invoice and they sent it to their customer.

Result:

• This product streamlined Sonoran Rovers' build process as it provided their customer with a visual confirmation that left no room for error on colors, part specifications, accessories, etc. Additionally, it provided Sonoran Rovers with a visual reference for their records to utilize during the build process.

• Upon reflection, I found that it would have been best for me to have an official aftermarket parts list before beginning, since throughout the modeling process, I had to go back and create new accessories or assets, which disrupted my workflow.
